Modify access pools

Access controls can be set on specific volumes within a storage system. Access pools are the pools that contain these specific volumes.

About this task

The following explains how to add/remove volumes from an access pool:

Steps

  1. Select a storage system.
  2. Click Settings icon.
  3. In the Settings dialog, click System Access Control > Access Pools.
  4. To enable active management, enter your Access Control PIN: View access controls
  5. Select the access pool and click Details icon to open its details view.
  6. In the Properties panel, click the number next to Volumes to the access pool volumes list view.
    • To add volumes to the pool:
      1. Click Add.
      2. Select one or more Available Volumes and click Add Volume.
      3. Click OK.
    • To remove volumes from the pool:
      1. Select one or more volumes and click Remove.
      2. Click OK.
